About Dave Robbins

img_0678.jpgI am a journalist, lecturer and dad. I worked in national newspapers before leaving to pursue a “portfolio career” a while back. The items in my “portfolio” are: being a stay-at-home dad to my daughter Grace, an annoying husband to my wife Fran, a  freelance journalist and writer and a lecturer in the School of Communications at Dublin City University. Newsflash: also recently PhD researcher, also at DCU.

Me (I don't normally dress like that) and my daughter Gracie

Me (I don’t normally dress like that) and my daughter Gracie (then aged 4; now 8; will probably kill me when 12)

I am captain of a dysfunctional cricket team (the Herald Taverners XI), a member of the Green Party of Ireland, a member of Middlesex County Cricket Club and a former member of the Sherlock Holmes Society of London. I am 5’11” tall, but my wife says I’m more 5’9″.
